light within the dark

as i walk apon the shore
the ocean at my feet
i wish that there was more
as i look up in defeat
my eyes they hurt with tears stained blood
my essence cracking , spliting from the inside
the sun kissed clouds , red and orange flood
light glaring my view from what i cannot define
wings of white and gold connected to my love
soaring high above i watch her fade from view
innocent ,carefree. filled with forgiveness, my dove
you took my spirit as you flew away
grief and pain left behind for another day
sorrow killed me this same night
i hope i reach you within the light
